Where software engineers teach future engineers.

Modern University’s small cohorts and personalized feedback produces higher quality software engineers than coding bootcamps or universities.

Personalized feedback is essential to success. Your teachers do not lecture. Instead, they focus 100% on giving you personalized feedback through code reviews, design reviews, and one-on-one meetings. Teachers will help you understand where you are thriving, talk you through areas for improvement, and share ideas on how to make your code better.

Modern University has been designed to take someone from zero coding knowledge to being hired in 9 months. You will learn new concepts while receiving personalized feedback from professional engineers in a small cohort of up to 10 students.

Once the cohort begins, you will use our interactive coding courses to learn foundational concepts. After concluding each unit, you will complete a real world project. Along the way, Modern University has integrated learning tools and strategies to increase knowledge retention and accelerate proficiency.

Experience with real world problems is critical to become a great engineer. Modern University provides simulations similar to flight pilot training for student practice. For example, you will be given a faulty program and will have to discover the root problem while designing and implementing a practical solution.

As you develop your skills, you start resolving open source issues. These issues are centered in real customer needs that can’t be captured in templated lessons. You will put these on your resume!
